Aim & Scope

Clinical Cardiovascular Research aims to publish cutting-edge research that addresses key challenges and advances in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. The scope of the journal encompasses, but is not limited to, the following areas:

  1. Basic Science and Translational Research: Original research articles elucidating the molecular mechanisms underlying cardiovascular diseases, as well as translational studies that bridge the gap between bench and bedside.
  2. Clinical Trials and Epidemiology: Reports on clinical trials evaluating novel therapies, diagnostic tools, and interventions for cardiovascular diseases, as well as epidemiological studies investigating the prevalence, risk factors, and outcomes of cardiovascular conditions.
  3. Cardiovascular Imaging: Advances in non-invasive imaging modalities such as echocardiography, cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT), and nuclear cardiology for the assessment of cardiovascular structure and function.
  4. Interventional Cardiology and Cardiovascular Surgery: Innovative techniques and outcomes research in percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), cardiac catheterization, coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), valve repair/replacement, and other interventional and surgical procedures.
  5. Heart Failure and Cardiomyopathies: Research focusing on the pathophysiology, diagnosis, and management of heart failure, including heart transplantation, mechanical circulatory support, and pharmacological therapies.
  6. Arrhythmias and Electrophysiology: Studies on the mechanisms, diagnosis, and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias, implantable cardiac devices, catheter ablation, and electrophysiological mapping.
  7. Vascular Medicine and Peripheral Vascular Diseases: Investigations into the pathogenesis, diagnosis, and management of arterial and venous diseases, peripheral artery disease (PAD), aortic aneurysms, and other vascular disorders.
  8. Preventive Cardiology and Rehabilitation: Strategies for cardiovascular risk assessment, lifestyle modifications, secondary prevention, and cardiac rehabilitation programs aimed at improving outcomes and quality of life in patients with cardiovascular diseases.

Clinical Cardiovascular Research is committed to upholding the highest standards of scientific integrity and ethical conduct in research publication. We strive to provide a rigorous peer-review process, rapid publication, and wide dissemination of research findings to facilitate collaboration and knowledge exchange among researchers and healthcare professionals worldwide.
