Editor Guidelines

Editor Guidelines

At Medires Publishing LLC, we uphold the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and excellence in all aspects of our editorial process. Editors, including the Editor-in-Chief, are entrusted with the responsibility of safeguarding the integrity of our journals and ensuring the quality and relevance of the content we publish. To maintain these standards, we adhere to the guidelines outlined below:

Editorial Autonomy and Integrity:

  • Editors operate under the principles outlined by the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), exercising complete autonomy in the editorial process.
  • The Editor-in-Chief holds the authority to make final decisions regarding the publication of manuscripts, guided by the journal's scope, relevance, scientific merit, completeness, clarity, and ethics.
  • Editorial decisions are unbiased and independent of authors' nationality, ethnicity, race, religion, or political beliefs. External influences, including private or governmental policies, do not dictate editorial decisions.

Role of Editors:

  • Editors are instrumental in maintaining the quality and standards of our publications, from the formation of the editorial board to the publication of manuscripts.
  • They oversee the entire publication process, ensuring adherence to guidelines and upholding the integrity of the journal.

Inviting Editors:

  • Medires Open Access Journals welcome scientists, researchers, academicians, medical practitioners, and scholars who demonstrate expertise and interest in serving as editors.
  • With over 45 peer-reviewed journals in Science & Technology, editors play a crucial role in advancing research and scholarship in their respective fields.

Editorial Process Overview:

  • Upon submission, manuscripts receive a tracking number and are assigned to an editor.
  • Editors determine whether to send the manuscript for peer review based on its quality and relevance.
  • Reviewers are selected by the editor, and their reports guide editorial decisions.
  • The editorial team discusses reviewer comments, and the editor makes the final decision, considering scientific rigor and potential impact.
  • Authors are promptly notified of editorial decisions, with opportunities for manuscript transfer if necessary.

Peer Review:

  • Authors may suggest referees, although final selection is at the editor's discretion.
  • Referees remain anonymous unless otherwise requested.
  • Manuscripts are held to rigorous editorial standards, with an emphasis on novelty, scientific rigor, and clarity.
  • Editors evaluate manuscripts based on reviewer feedback, guiding authors in revisions when necessary.

Decision After Review:

  • Editors consider the potential for improvement in manuscripts, guiding revisions where applicable.
  • Manuscripts may be accepted pending revisions or rejected if concerns are deemed insurmountable within a reasonable timeframe.

Final Submission and Acceptance:

  • Upon acceptance, authors receive detailed instructions for final submission.
  • Manuscripts undergo editing for clarity and adherence to journal style guidelines.
  • Authors are encouraged to discuss proposed changes with editors, with final decisions made by Medires Catalysis to ensure consistency and accessibility.

Appeals:

  • Authors have the right to appeal decisions, which are considered with diligence and fairness.
  • Appeals are reviewed based on the merits of the case, with decisions subject to critical evaluation and, if necessary, consultation with external experts.

By adhering to these guidelines, editors uphold the integrity and excellence of our publications, advancing knowledge and innovation in their respective fields. We thank our editors for their dedication and commitment to the highest standards of scholarly publishing at Medires Publishing LLC.
